Outro: Goodbye and Next Steps
Our goal is simple, we want to transform your Excel skills. So far, we have done this for over 1000 professionals in two ways:
We don't teach you Excel the way other courses do.
Our course has been created by professionals who have spent decades solving hundreds of Excel related problems in dozens of global companies
From solving hundreds of Excel problems, we have seen that every business scenario needing Excel can be boiled down to three types problems and there are four possible ways to solve them aka the 4:3 Excel framework.
The three types of Excel problems are
Storing or tracking data: Such as financial data like journal entries, accounting data like accruals, project data such as milestones or status updates, employee data, timesheets, holiday tracking, etc
Data Analysis: whether ad-hoc analysis or building models for ongoing analysis. Think profit and loss analysis, project timeline analysis, variance analysis, resource forecasting, staff rotas, etc
Providing data insights: Building tables, reports and dashboards is the biggest opportunity you must make your mark with various audiences and there is no room for error.
There are four approaches that will solve these problems
Finding specific information: We want to extract and pinpoint the exact information we need from lists of data. We will use basic and sophisticated Lookup techniques to do so.
Using logic to manipulate information: The foundation of analysis is the ability to put rules around data and make sure it does what we need it to do
Manipulate text data: With so much data at work being text based such as product codes, employee data, project information, the importance of handling text data cannot be stated enough
Effective data summary: Many people think summary simply means charts and tables, it’s so much more than that. This is where we learn when to use the right technique at the right time to produce effective outputs
It’s within this framework that we will teach you the best way to use formulas, charts, conditional formatting, pivot tables, shortcuts and other functions.
No longer will you be scrambling for random tips, ninja tricks and shortcuts. You can say goodbye to googling for answers to Excel questions after everyone else has gone home because your report is due in the morning.
This framework is a strategic Excel system that will guide you in your work and will have you producing outstanding quality analysis and reporting in a quick time frame.
Where most courses let you down is precisely where we shine.
Our support is truly world class because all of our support staff have all previously worked in global companies, they are not trainers by profession so the guidance and advice is the most highly qualified professional advice.
This is very important because Excel can be quite daunting and poor teaching and advice can make things worse.
Discussions, emails and video responses to your Excel Course questions
We support you with written and video responses. Yes. If we feel a written response doesn't do you justice, we will create a video just for you!
But regardless of the format you can be rest assured knowing that the advice will not be fluffy or vague, it will always be in the context of solving business problems with Excel. So not only will your Excel skills improve but you will become a more effective professional in the process.
Skype guidance
Beyond what we teach, if you want hands on guidance on Excel related work problems like a challenging report, troublesome analysis or anything else then we offer all our students 30 minutes of Skype time within the course. This can be used anytime within 12 months of registering.
Our Excel Course instructor, Sohail Anwar, is a Londoner who has spent over 12 years working on major projects in global investment banks going from junior to senior roles in the process. Strong Excel skills played a huge role in helping Sohail get promoted along the way. |

Some of the companies our students have worked at
Here are some of the success stories our students share with us
“The course is excellent. The skills I have developed during the 6 weeks have given me the confidence to tackle advanced problems in an Investment Banking environment. Unlike other courses, the tutorials are practical, to the point and are relevant to professionals. I would highly recommend this course.” A. Saleem, PMO Manager, London
“If you saw the type of excel work being produced in my workplace you would be floored - or I'm sure you have seen through your career. I'm one of those that knew the underlying power of excel but had thought the time and energy to fully learn was lost at this point in my career (I'm not so early in my career), and I could just get by as a lot of PMs are doing/have been doing with various excel hacks and weird work flow tricks (as I believe you mentioned, many consider it just a "spreadsheet"). You would laugh at a recent pivot table work-flow that was handed to me for a simple excel task - I changed that immediately after your training.” – Brian, Project Manager, USA
“Sohail’s courses have provided me with the guidance and traction to hugely grow my earnings – in fact trebled my income over the past few weeks upon completion. This was due to the fact there’s a formula that for me clarified core missing pieces. Most importantly, Sohail’s courses helped me revise and reassess how I presented myself to my intended audience (the selling course), and gave me the tools I needed to make the difference (the excel course). For me this has been a real game changer and a catalyst. Don’t hesitate to do both parts of the course”. – James Barton-Ginger, Project Manager, New Zealand
"I applied many of the skills I learned through your excel course to automate many aspects of my work and it has been a huge help. My next step is to improve my VBA skills!" – Kiran, Financial Analyst, Canada
Here is a video of Kiran talking about her progress with the training:
The more the better, if you can do 30 minutes a day, your imrpvements will be very noticable very quickly. However the lessons range form 1 minute to 30 minutes in length so you can just tackle one a day if it fits in your schedule.
You will begin to improve immediately. The course is designed to make you take action with our real world examples and recommendations of what to apply in your own work
Absolutely. However please agree this with your employer before signing up and we can either take a payment form your corporate credit card or issue you an invoice to claim back the cost form your employer.
You don’t have to know anything about Excel to enrol in the course. My job is to take you by the hand and walk you through what you need to know. And, at the same time, have it be a professional, pleasurable and fun experience for you. But please don’t take the course if you have no use for it, if there’s no purpose for you to use what you learn. It’s then you’ll feel you in over your head because you have no end goal for learning the material. You’ll only be wasting your own precious time. I’ve found some students have expressed the same concerns about not knowing a thing about Excel, yet most have found that they were painting a big Excel monster picture in their minds about it all and when they started right at the beginning and had a clear mind about the road ahead, everything made clear sense to them.
You can never fall behind if you follow the course materials. All video lessons have already been recorded for you so you don’t have to worry and panic that you have to attend a live session at a particular time each week.. Often our students go cold for months only to return when they get a chance and when they are back we are waiting to support them.
If you mean can my beginner to advanced to Excel Expert Training help you to not freeze up when you think of or hear the words datasets, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, dashboards… well… only you can be the judge of that by testing the course out. But I think you first need to ask yourself why it is you want to be learning about it all in the first place - because if you’re so anti or fearful of learning this material, it suggests to me that it’s something that you simply don’t want to do. Why do something you’re dead against doing?
A £10 course will get you £10 results. If you base your purchase solely on price, then you can skip the idea of paying anything at all because you can go straight to Google or YouTube and get all the free Excel videos and instruction materials you want. BUT be warned 'Free' will always cost you more greatly in the long term. First of all we invest heavily in supporting you so you can transform, secondly what Google or YouTube don't give you is a good curriculum in a structured way. Where does my curriculum come from? Well, that is the best part of the course. The fact that I am teaching you! I have spent over a decade in the biggest and best global organisations. I learned Excel on world class multi-million-pound projects. Not in my mother's basement like many so-called experts. So my curriculum is all about what works in the real world. That's why my students don't just get Excel Skills, but they also get promotions and Salary Increases.
The best way isn’t to tell them. The best way is to demonstrate what you know. And you do that by taking on a project where your new skills will come into play. If in the past you’ve struggled with analysing large amounts of data, have been intimidated by advanced things like using Pivot tables or using formulas like VLOOKUP, if you’ve not at all felt comfortable building reports, dashboards and carrying out the necessary analysis... if all that has been a throbbing professional migraine for you in the past, take on and complete a project by incorporating those Excel elements and pretty soon you’ll have your employers, your boss, other colleagues you work with, wide eyed and incredulous. And that’ll be your stepping stone to the good times ahead for you.
